Byron Bay is famous for being a foodie's favourite. We're very blessed to have so many delicious cafe, restaurant and takeaway options here, often supplied with the incredible produce grown by local farmers in the luscious Byron Bay hinterland. If you're here or holiday or lucky enough to call this place home, you'll know that Byron Bay brunching is a rite of passage.
The General Store
First on our ultimate brunch-worthy list, is actually a piece of Byron Bay's history. Housed in one of Byron Shire's oldest commercial buildings established back in 1947, The General Store remains a firm favourite among locals and visitors alike. They serve up an all day breakfast-style menu that is for the most part plant based. The vegan buckwheat waffles are a must-try when you're next in town!
An instagrammer's dream! Combi is a beautiful little pink cafe in the heart of Byron Bay made famous for it's local organic produce, healthy & wholesome menu and unbelievably good raw treats and cakes. It's the perfect place for a yummy brunch with your girlfriends washed down with an organic coffee or thick, velvety smoothie.
If you're brunching for a special occasion, or just fancy treating yourself to a bit of fine dining ~ because why not? Then you simply have to book yourself a table at Rae's with sweeping views of an ocean-washed morning on Watego's Beach. The restaurant is set in an exclusive, boutique, beachfront hotel, and it feels luxurious from the moment you walk up the white painted steps. Serving food from midday onwards (technically lunching, but we couldn't not include it!)
Health and the health of our environment are extremely important to Folk. Serving up homemade and homegrown vegetarian and plant based dishes, this charming little cafe is a short drive out of the centre, but so so worth it. Set in a lush garden with wooden seating and your favourite alternative tunes playing in the background. The vibes are great and the food is even better.
Local, seasonal, simple dishes, exceptional coffee and a buzzing atmosphere. This local's hotspot is always packed, and for good reason. Because all their ingredients are sourced fresh from local farmers and growers, their menu changes regularly, meaning there's always something new and innovative to enjoy. You'll love the coffee too.
The Farm specialises in 'paddock to plate' style eating, with a fully functioning farm on the premises. Founded by five mates who are passionate about nourishing the community with ethical, authentic, quality food and hospitality. It's a beautiful brunch spot to enjoy outside in the sunshine overlooking flowers and rolling fields. They also have a fabulous bakery serving up freshly baked bread and pastries.
